Reader Nicholas began to show his talent for music at the early age of 3.  One of his earliest accomplishments was to help his father, Father Anatoly, sing in duet form, "We Magnify Thee", during Mattins on Holy Feast Days.

At the age of 14, under the instruction of his Uncle, Heiromonk Ignaty, he began to seriously study the intracacies of Church music, mastering the 8 Tones and the Typikhon.

At the age of 15, singing the baritone line, he was part of a quartet which produced a record honoring The Holy Trinity.

At the age of 16, Reader Nicholas, with Heiromonk Ignaty and Father Anatoly, produced over 40 cassettes, singing in trio harmony, the 8 Tones, Special Melodies, and Feast Days, just to name a few.  These are instructional cassettes and are still available today.

With hard work and dedication, he has just published a very rare book, a compilation of special melodies (i.e. "Samopodobny"), meticulously arranged and harmonized (click here for more details).

Today, he honors God with his talent as Reader and Choir Director of our Church.  He has embraced this new responsibility humbly, and with great passion.
